How it all began

The year was 1980 when Jesse was introduced to Bill Wind Dancer through a mutual friend in the Industrial City of Lowell Massachusetts.

At this time Bill was already on his way to developing a reputation as a good local guitarist and Jesse was struggling to learn the guitar himself. It was through this encounter that Bill would learn of Jesse's frustration of trying to establish himself as a guitarist, Bill would soon recognize that Jess didn't have what it would take to be an outstanding guitarist but that Jesse did have a natural knack for writing lyrics and composing songs with little effort.

Bill and Jess would spend all their free time making up avant-garde songs of people they knew and were recording these original songs in a small studio in the attic of Jesse's old house.

The Long Journey to the stage

Over the past 25 years Jess and Bill would do music work with other budding musicians but would always return to playing music as a duo, they have seen many musicians come and go but they always remained in close contact and it wasn't until 1998 that Jesse would discover his love of the Native instruments, the native corting flutes of his people.

In 1999 Jesse would call upon Wind Dancer to contribute to Jesse's Cd Painted Breath and it was like coming home again for both artist.
They enjoyed creating the Cd and appearing on Radio Station WMPG to play some tracks from the CD and to share an on air interview about the music project.
It was obvious from public reaction to the show that they had a winning combination of  creativity between the two of them.

Jesse enjoyed great global exposure from a two hour radio show hosted by the Foxwoods satilite radio broadcast in co-operation with Sirrus satilite.

Bill would go on to appear on Jesse's other Cds and with great success.
It was self evident that the combination of Bills guitar work and Jesse's flute playing that they were destined to end up as a musical force to reckon with.

No man is a Island !

As everyone knows, behind every group there is a "supporting cast" of friends and family that encourage the artist to create great music.
If it were not for the support of both their wives Bill and Jess would not have developed so quickly as their loved ones encouraged them to spend the time that they needed together to create.

Bills wife, Gerri-Lynn and Jesse's wife Linda have been the driving force behind the two men.

They have been gifted with the talents of Gordon Young for contributing his great guitar work on past CDs and Mrs. Linda Red Horse's beautiful voice on past projects as well.

They have also enjoyed the support of Val Cartonio from the native music show "Echoes in the Wind" on WMPG radio in Portland Maine, as well as Fox Woods Radio in CT.
Mount Washington Valley Vision Television in North Conway, NH and the great people at the Conway Daily Sun, Carroll County Independant and The Granite State News for extensive coverage on their works.
Jess and Bill have both stated that the list of their supporters would fill an entire page at this site, and they thank all of them.

Jesse is the proud recipient of two Native music awards, the "Silver Arrow Awards" for both 2003 and 2004 for contributions to Native American Music sponsored by, Raven Hawk Productions & Native Radio.com
